This is me........
Well I really don't know how to start this. I am totally new to blogging and don't know what I'm doing, so any help along the way would be greatly appreciated. I'll just start by telling a little about myself. I am a 56 yo single Christian male trying to find my way in life. It seems no matter hold old I am, I find there is always learning to be done and I assume it will always be that way. First and foremost, I love God and my Savior, Jesus Christ. Without Him leading the way, I would be utterly lost in more ways than one. I put my trust in Him everyday of my life. About 5 years ago at a particularly low time in my life, He literally showed me how through every single day of my life since birth, He had lead me every step of the way. He reminded me of every turn and person in my life and that there were absolutely no accidents. Every step of my journey had been planned to bring me to the point I was at. Not that I had no choices in anything, but that even through the supposedly bad choices I had made, He had always been working out ahead of me, and that He always would. So what can I do but completely trust in Him. I will and that's that. He has brought me back to Temple, Texas where I lived for several years back in the late 70's and early 80's and to a job that I never in a million years thought I would be working at. I am the teen program director for special needs at the Central Texas Childrens Center. I use to never even like kids, but here I am and have fallen in love with all of them and they with me. One of the greates passions I have in life that is also a gift from God is photography, and I have been blessed to be able to incorporate this into my work at the center. So, a large portion of this blog will be for me to have a way share my gift with others. I don't claim to be the best photographer in the world, but I love what I do and hope you will appreciate it also. I won't be posting any photos taken of the children at the center unless they are ones where you can't identify faces for legal reasons. Most of my work shown here will be more of the artistic genre. God has also blessed me with a wonderful family, quirks and all, and many long time friends, also with quirks of their own, but we all have those. That's what makes us human and unique. I love the outdoors, and that includes camping, hiking, fishing, whitewater rafting and just generally appreciating the beauty that God has richly blessed us with. Mountains and oceans are among my favorites and anything with water. I love reading a good book, quiet and noisy times with friends, board games, especially backgammon, amusement parks, zoos, aquariums, movies that make me laugh and cry, a good meal and glass of wine with friends, and this list goes on and on. I think you get the idea. Well, as i have probably bored you to tears, I will close this post for now and in the upcoming weeks will get to posting some of my photographic work. Talk to ya later. Ed
I finally have an idea how to correct this. Copy the text from here into a Word program. Edit, &/or remove the high-lighting over the text. Then, delete this blog, and re-create a new one by copying the text from your Word program back into here with the edited text being more legibly read. :-)
